Olympic gold medalist Byun Chun-sa attracts attention on “1 Night 2 Days”
The first episode of “1 Night 2 Days” Viewers’ Tour was broadcast, and among the 100 guests featured on the show, Olympic gold medalist Byun Chun-sa attracted much attention.
The program started with the regular MCs, plus their guests MCs Baek Ji-young, Sung Shi-kyung, Kim Byung-man, and Jeon Hyeon-moo introducing their team members. When main MC Kang Ho-dong introduced his group consisting of the 20-year-olds, everyone was surprised to see Byun. Kang Ho-dong introduced Byun as the 2006 Winter Olympics gold medalist for short track speed skating.
“I really love ’1 Night 2 Days’ and wanted to join the Viewers’ Tours since the first and second time, but I did not have the time to apply,” Byun said. “However, since I had time during April, I was able to apply this time around.”
It was also revealed that she was a fan of Lee Seung-gi, hugging him when Kang asked for her favored MC in the program.
The second part of the Viewers’ Tour will be shown on September 11.

Sweet voiced singer Sung Shi Kyung showed a bit of jealousy towards Lee Seung Ki‘s fame.
On September 4th, the episode of KBS ‘2 Days 1 Night‘ was separated in to a three-part viewers’ tour, introducing one hundred viewers from the age of 1 to 102.
On this day, Sung Shi Kyung was seen getting jealous of Lee Seung Ki when majority of young fangirls chose Lee Seung Ki as the celebrity that they wanted to see.
Sung Shi Kyung seemed especially jealous when the teenagers were asked, “Who did you want to see the most?“, the girls answered, “Lee Seung Ki.” Then, Baek Ji Young exclaimed, “Lee Seung Ki again,” while Lee Seung Ki chuckled, “It’s that time of age,” giving out hugs to his diehard fans.
The ballad singer then jealously pouted, “He looks like a prince. Even his clothes are like those of a prince,‘” causing the crowd to laugh.
Meanwhile, Lee Tae Hun, also known as ‘Little Kang Ho Dong‘, was on the show flaunting his excellent talent in witty word play.

The pictures of Lee Seung Gi were taken during the filming of 1N2D‘s Viewers Tour Special. He is seen with all smiles holding Shim Eui Jin– a young toddler who is a guest on the show.

Sung Si Kyung declare war — “I will lay bare his true nature to the public”
On the August 21 episode of KBS’s variety show Two Days and One Night, Sung Si Kyung appeared as a guest emcee along with Bae Ji Young and Jeon Hyun Moo.
On the show, Sung says, “As long as I ended up being here, I will try to lay bare Lee Seung Gi’s true nature to the public.” Gang Ho Dong responds by saying, “We have failed to expose the deeply hidden truth of him, but you said you would do that for two days and one night, right?”
Lee speaks lightly, “Do you want me? I’m a late bird.” Such calm attitude of Lee provoked Sung further. He aggravatingly responds, “He has no scandal, no rumor, no bad press. How could he do that?”
He finally adds, provoking laughs, “That’s not only for me, but for viewers. I firmly believe that everyone has his own dirt.”

KBS announces that ‘1 Night 2 Days’ will end in six months

KBS’s ‘1 Night 2 Days‘ has announced that the hit variety program will be running for six more months before it comes to a close in February 2012.
All of the cast members reportedly made a mutual agreement with the producers of the show, saying that they would be leaving altogether in six months.
Their official press release reads as follows:
“We would first like to thank all of the viewers who have shown love for ‘1 Night 2 Days’. For the past four years, KBS’s ‘1 Night 2 Days’ has been an extremely joyful program that’s received the generous love of its viewers.
Because of recent events, many discussions have been taking place internally. After holding a frank, open-minded discussion with the ‘1 Night 2 Day’ members, including Kang Ho Dong-ssi, we have come to a final decision that we will be announcing to viewers in the following paragraphs:
The members of ‘1 Night 2 Days’, including KBS and Kang Ho Dong-ssi, cannot imagine a ‘1 Night 2 Days’ without any of its members. We have come to a consensus of starting and ending the show together as one.
As a program that runs true to form, there is no ‘end’. The case is usually members pitifully departing one by one due to a drop in viewer ratings.
‘1 Night 2 Days’, a program that’s praised for being the ‘nation’s variety show’, is the result of much sweat and effort from the members and staff. We do not want something that shines so brightly to meet with a pitiful end. Realistically, the members also all agree that ‘1 Night 2 Days’ cannot continue on forever.
As such, all of the members have agreed to do their absolute best for the next six months and bring the show to a successful conclusion.
We’ve worked with passion for the past four years, and will continue to do so for the next six months. We’ll be working as if each episode is the last and promise to move our citizens and provide them with laughter. We ask that you continue to show us your interest and love.”
